It’s a question we get asked a lot, and there isn’t really a short answer to give. That being said, you can find entertainment in lots of different price brackets, and many bands offer different sized line-ups to match different budgets. To help you plan for your event we have put together a bit of guidance on the topic.
1. Where is your event?
Bands and musicians based in large cities are usually more expensive than bands in rural areas. So if you are planning an event in London, expect to pay a tiny bit more than in the rural parts of Cornwall.
2. What are you looking for?
3. What can I afford with my budget?
Regardless of what you are looking for, you are likely to have an approximate budget you are working too. From the shy few hundreds up to thousands of pounds, there’s something in every price bracket. Here’s an idea of what you can get in each bracket.
£250 and Below
This is a very small budget for hiring music, but if it’s a budget you simply can’t stretch there are some great options available. A 6-piece band might be out of your reach, but if you’re after a DJ or a solo musician, you’ll be able to find something to perfectly match your event.
