Zimbabwean blood and London native, South Londoner ‘Tendai’ goes by the DJ name ‘Petite Deejay’. She specialises in DJing Deep, Soulful, Afro and South African House music. Her vibrant and energetic sets can be heard in venues across London. In addition to DJing, Tendai has created the DJ school "Inspiring DJs" where she teaches adults and children (including those on the Autism spectrum) how to DJ on all formats from studios in Dalston (London Borough of Hackney).
Tendai has DJ residencies with South African Tourism UK, Rhythm n Funk, and most recently for Dubai brand #Afrocentric. Her “Soul Seductive Sessions” mixes have been hosted on shows worldwide from Romania to New York, including interviewing South African artists to educate listeners on the sounds she herself was heavily influenced by. She featured on BBC World News for a mini documentary regarding the rise in African House music in London, and she continues to deliver her infamous sets full of drums and beats on the decks with Deep and South African House sets infused with sultry vocals.
Her vibrant and energetic sets can be heard in a range of venues where she is renowned for keeping the party jumping at The Hilton Park Lane, Zimfest Festival, Fashion Shows and regular spots in Shoreditch, Brixton and The City.
