Marc Dennis is one of the many successful Manchester DJ stories having been involved in the music industry as a DJ, Producer, Promoter and presenter since 1995. Raised in the Hacienda era Marc’s journey into the D.J world began at the young age of 16. Marc quickly developed his own style playing music from right across the house spectrum.
His first gigs were at Rennies and The Loft in Manchester where he played along-side the likes of D.J Disciple, Graeme Park and Tom Wainright. In 1999 Marc’s talents earned him his first big residency at The Temple in Bolton, which regularly appeared in Mixmag as one of the best clubs in the country and an undiscovered underground super-club. Marc graced the decks playing to over 3000 clubbers every week along-side some of the worlds biggest D.J’s including: Junior Sanchez, Kenny Carpenter, Danny Rampling, C.J Macintosh and Farley Jackmaster Funk to name a few. Along with his regular appearances on Galaxy radio this established Marc’s name and he has since been spinning regularly as a guest at venues up and down the U.K and across Europe. Marc has also played on the Defected Records, Ministry of sound and Transatlantic Mix Tours, leading him to make regular guest appearances at nights and clubs such as Sankeys, Glasshouse, Blend, el Divino, Federation and Space ibiza billed alongside the likes of DJ Sneak, David Guetta & Carl Cox over a 20 year period.
Marc also continues his long standing residency at one of the U.Ks biggest events, Love To Be which Marc now owns and celebrates 25 years in 2019.
Marc continues to be involved in production and as well as running his own labels (One Foot in the Groove/Trimtone Records) which has have both had a string of successful tracks working with artists such as Ron Carol and Alexis Hall and remixing the likes of Bob Marley, Leon Lopez, Crispin Glover, Yazz, The pointer sisters and Jocelyn Brown. Marc has also released tracks on Peppermint Jam, Sony, Celebrity and Metro records and his music regularly featured on Pete Tongs Radio 1 show and Kiss Fm.
Marc has also worked closely with the Barkin' Brothers and has released tracks under the El-J project, Peak time players, & One Foot In The Groove guises. In 2012 Marc started to produce under a new name, Trimtone and has since launched the Trimtone Record label and under his Trimtone guise plays alongside Sonny Fodera, Flashmob, Doorly at Festivals around Europe as well as releasing a string of tracks under the Trimtone moniker. Marc also continues his radio work with The Love to be... Radio show on Grant Nelsons D3Ep Radio and his Saturday show on Manchester global radio. His TV presenting has had sees him present live at various band showcases and industry events and as host presenter for unseen TV/After dark TV
