Brought up in UK, France & Poland, multilingual Maja is an extremely versatile singer (actress & model) with a huge repertoire of jazz, pop & soul songs (in English, French, Polish, German, Spanish, Mandarin & even Bahasa Melayu).
Famous for her beautifully smooth, sultry and soulful mezzo-soprano, she regularly performs in London, where she is based, as well as overseas.
Despite starting her singing career only in 2007 she already has under her belt performing with such stars of jazz as Geoff Gascoyne (J.Cullum band), Joss Stone band, Jonathan Gee, Nick Ramm (Tom Jones’ pianist), starring at International Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival, having Prince Harry coming to one of her London shows (and enjoying it very much, as we were told by his close friends) or Prince of Jaipur with his family to listen to her in India. She usually performs with a pianist or a guitarist as a duo, or in a larger ensemble: trio (bass, drums & piano) up to a quintet (with drums & saxophone) and more.
In 2013 she started recording her own original material (under her song-writing name Petal). You can hear some of her compositions via soundcloud: [url hidden]/petal-music.
