London Cello Quartet was formed in the spring of 2016 and brings together four of London's most dynamic male cellists currently active on the London music scene. The group performed at Union Chapel with London Contemporary Voices in July 2016, for which it collaborated with the compelling hang drum player Manu Delago and band Aquilo. The band has since recorded an EP, has given a Sofar Sounds concert (with another to follow in October 2017) and has been chosen by Laura Mvula perform at an event curated and hosted by her in November 2017 for upcoming artists.
The group's repertoire generally straddles the classical and pop/indie genres but also incorporates elements of tango and folk. The group's repertoire mostly consists of innovative takes on music by existing and well-known composers or artists, all arranged in-house by Stefan Knapik.
Absolutely any piece of music can be arranged to suit your event at short notice!
