Gordon Robertson is a Scottish Singer/Songwriter and Musician who is in demand for private events, weddings, functions, festivals and parties throughout Scotland. His abilities both as a vocalist and musician (Guitar and Piano) exceed all expectations and have him in regular work with bars, restaurants, and live music venues across Scotland. With years of experience as an entertainer, he always impresses audiences with his interpretations of well known songs, and his original work is some of the most exciting new music being written in the UK at the moment. He performed two years in a row as a featured artist in the Edinburgh International Festival, both, in a one-man show in 2011 and as part of a professional musical theatre concert in 2012, but has performed in the festival every year for the last 14 years.
Gordon covers music from many different genres including Pop, Acoustic, Rock, Folk and Musical Theatre, but is a specialist in Jazz, Swing and Big Band. His sets include something for everyone, and are complimented by the original material he performs, which gathers influence from all of those genres.
Gordon has competed in several nationwide talent searches, and was an area finalist in Open Mic UK 2015, the UK’s biggest search for unsigned acts. The judges described his performance as “A fantastic vocal” and put him through to the Area Final with some of the highest scores.
