Goldierocks, AKA Sam Hall, is an international DJ and broadcaster with a celebrity following that includes Kate Moss, The Rolling Stones, Richard Branson, Larry Page, Giorgio Armani, Gordan Ramsay, Madonna and The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge (she's performed exclusively for them all).
With years of DJ experience and a theatre degree from Goldsmith’s university behind her, Sam is known for her theatrical flair as well as her cutting-edge playlists. She has stage dived, rocked out and propelled herself off various stages around the globe having DJ’d her unique blend of eclectic house, world beats, mash up electro & bass heavy remixes to thousands across five continents.
For private functions & corporate events however she is Very adaptable in sound depending on the event/needs of the client. In recent months she’s played for Google, Wella, Nobu, Grand Prix & Ascot to name a few. She can play as commercial or ‘xmas party’ as needed ; ) Although she does specialize in house, disco and underground.
Her weekly, award winning global new music radio show 'The Selector', which she’s presented for 8 years now, is legendary to those in the know. Broadcast in over 44 countries on FM, to over 4 million listeners a week; transmitted in China, Mexico, South Africa, Cuba, India, Spain, Malaysia, Russia & more. The Sunday Times has described it as "the most cutting-edge British music show out there." She also conceived the idea and now presents the specialist spin-off dance show ‘Selector After Dark’ also broadcast worldwide. Back in London, Sam co-host’s Bestival FM, alongside Rob Da Bank, broadcasting every Thursday 14:00 (GMT) on Soho Radio. She also has a weekly dance music show called ‘IO Project’ airing on Pioneer DJ Radio in Ibiza every Tuesday 15:00 (GMT) joining the likes of Cral Cox, John Digweed & Claptone. This radio work leads on from Sam being the 'face of dance music' for Capital FM in 2016 presenting The Capital Weekender with Ministry of Sound, every weekend, live in the mix across UK. As an anchor for Ministry LIVE throughout 2015, Ministry Of Sound's official radio station, where she was on air every day 11-3 until the stations closure. And her work covering the early breakfast show on BBC Radio 1 in 2011.
As well as radio, Sam performs at endless festivals, brand events and exclusive private parties worldwide including Glastonbury, Bestival, Secret Garden Party, Latitude, Ibiza Rocks, Newquay Boardmasters, Creamfields, Meo Sudoeste, Burning Man and Lake of Stars to name a mere handful. Then, more unusual venues might be Soviet bunkers in Kazakhstan, igloo discos in Austria or super yachts in Monaco. In 2014, she played a huge open air party in Havana, becoming the first ever overseas female DJ allowed to perform there. Her passport certainly has some stamps in it. In 2012 Sam had the honour of performing a 90 minute set at the London Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony which was televised on C4. With a crowd of 80,000 people including HRH The Queen and with millions watching at home, it was one of many career highlights for Ms Hall.
