The hottest new London based vintage girl band with a twist! Bringing comedy and sass to the streets of the Big Smoke…
The Four Femmes met after training together for three years at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama studying Acting & Musical Theatre. They decided to put together a four part harmony group towards the end of 2011. They work as professional actors with CVs ranging from TV, West End, No.1 UK Touring Theatre and Cruise line credits since graduating in 2009. The girls wanted to create something of their own, and since forming as a group, they have played in venues such as the Speigeltent Southbank, The Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Wam Bam Club, Proud Cabaret, had a show in Paris, and set up regular nights themselves at The Green Carnation, Greek Street Soho, the Good Ship, Kilburn and now The Spice of Life, Soho!
As a group, the ladies cover songs from the 40′s in four part harmony mixing things up with blues and jazz, on to some Motown classics and then take you all the way through to the latest chart topping hits today with their own ‘femmes’ swing twist. Using their acting skills, they love to combine Comedy and story-telling through their four larger-than-life personalities.
The Femme style is very important to the girls too, with their fabulous sponsorship from Vivien of Holloway, who make their glamorous 40s dresses and MAC, their make-up sponsors. The Femmes also own four vintage chrome microphones that provide the finishing touch to their look.
