London based drummer and percussionist, currently playing with a brand new soul/funk band called Soul Sisters where they have recently played at Dry Martini at The Meliá White House in London covering the most famous soul&funk songs such as "Think", "Superstition", "Heard It Through The Grapevine", "I Feel Good" and many more. He has been part of a 10 piece reggae band called DubVocaliza. Playing original songs, they have been booked for various events around the UK including The Willow Festival in Peterborough and the Love Summer Festival in South Devon.
He is experienced as a percussionist playing with DJ Danny and recently has performed as a Cajon Player and Percussionist for the musical Godspell on stage 20th-24th August at Upstairs At The Gatehouse as part of the Camden Fringe Festival, produced by JR Theatre.
Federico has also performed with a function band called Kasaava covering songs such as "Red Red Wine", "No No No", "Three Little Birds", "All That She Wants".
His journey began in Milan at the age of 13 when he took up drum lessons at secondary school. Soon after he started his own rock band called Time Division. They spent the next few years performing in small clubs and live venues around Milan.
Wanting to experience new styles of playing, musical genres and hungry for a journey to progress, this led him to join various other bands playing Heavy Metal, Pop and Electronic music. At this point he expanded to perform all over the North of Italy.
Between a gig and another as a dep drummer, with the Electronic band Avanzi, where he was playing a Roland electronic drumkit, they performed at Festival Barzio winning the award of best original song and they also came 2nd place in a band competition called Pending Lips sponsored by Costello’s Records, Corriere della Sera, OndaRock among other great music magazine titles.
People want to work with Federico because he is reliable, flexible, creative, willing to go above and beyond but most of all he is an amazing musician.
In 2010 he started his degree in drums and percussion at Nel Centro della Musica in Milan, which he finished in 2015 with the final grade of 9/10.
As well as musical talent, Federico is a great drum teacher. He taught between the ages of 8 and 12 and also had a couple of adult students. His one to one lessons left such a good impression that soon after he was gaining more pupils through word of mouth and at one point had a dozen a week.
After achieving so much he felt that he was ready to take on a bigger world and in September 2015 he moved to London where he now plays at various jam sessions, festivals and functions. He is currently graduated at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP).
A keen networker he is gaining more and more contacts in the London circuit and looks forward to meeting an array of musical professionals such as yourself.
