3am: the five-piece band with soulful, raunchy vocals fronting blues-guitar-based rock songs. Band members have played/toured/recorded with everyone from The Strawbs, Maggie Bell, Barbara Dixon and Mike Batt to George Michael, Sam Fox and AC/DC. With Laura Long’s Elkie Brooks- style vocals fronting Tim Renton’s soul-snagging guitar expect a set that swings from delicate, gut-wrenching blues, to full-on liberating rock-til-you-drop festival anthems. The recent addition of drummer Clive Edwards (ex-UFO among many others!) adds even more talent to the band's line-up!
3am formed around 2005. Since then they've played hundreds of gigs - from tiny pubs to festival stages and theatres. They've done Guilfest (twice), Ealing Blues Festival, Newark Blues Festival and Chichester Blues on the Farm; Limelight, Colourhouse and Queens Theatres; Crawdaddy Club in Richmond, and central London venues 02 Academy2 Islington, Clapham Grand, the Comedy Pub, Charlotte Street Blues and The 100 Club. Support slots recently for Steven Seagal Blues Band, and guitar legend Reeves Gabrels (Ex-Bowie, currently The Cure) on their UK Tours.
The band will learn and play special songs for you at your event if you request them at time of booking, otherwise, their set will include 50% 3am originals and 50% covers - from artists such as Elkie Brooks, Vinegar Joe, Primal Scream, Gladys Knight, The Doors, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Mike Sharpe, Dennis Yost, Dusty Springfield, Alannah Myles, Donny Hathaway, Maggie Bell, Paul Weller, John Lennon, Anne Peebles, Janis Joplin, Portishead, Stevie Wonder, Christine Perfect, Chickenshack, Etta James, Joan Jett, Chuck Berry.
